Baby's 1st Birthday

So, Saturday was my nephew Jax's 1st Birthday party! My sister went all out on this one... balloons, food, cake, cupcakes, and even a jumpy thing! The kids loved it!

It was pretty funny, when the time came for Jax to eat his cake, the little monkey didn't even dive right it like most kids do, he picked little tiny pieces off and carefully placed them in his mouth. So unfortunately I have no pics of a 1 year old with cake all over his face!

I was in totally awe of the cupcakes and the cake, they were just too cute!

And as you may or may not know, I do luuuv cupcakes! I made my infamous Cupcakes in a Jar for Christmas, and often bake cupcakes at home for no reason (Nick loves when I do that!). So when I can across the new Dr. Oetker Shaker in the grocery store yesterday, I was pretty impressed with their idea; just add milk or water, shake, shake, shake and pour! It's that quick & easy!

What's even more impressive is that the Shaker has 0 grams of trans fat, and is a source of fibre and prebiotics. All that goodness in a delicious cupcake!

I can't wait to try it out! It gives me a reason to make cupcakes for no reason! lol
